On 26 August 2026, the webinar “People-centred care for TB in the WHO European Region: How to strengthen peer-to-peer support” took place, bringing together more than 85 participants.
The event was organised by the LHL International Tuberculosis Foundation in partnership with the TB Europe Coalition (TBEC) and the Latvian Society against Tuberculosis (LTBAB), with financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services.
During the webinar, moderated by Mona Drage, Director of LHL International Tuberculosis Foundation, participants discussed:
- the need for peer-led TB support in the WHO European Region;
- the current landscape of TB peer support across Europe and Central Asia;
- training peer educators for impactful TB counseling in Moldova;
- a joint government and civil society experience of peer-to-peer support for TB in Armenia;
- the challenges of peer-to-peer support for TB in Georgia.
