Another online meeting of the TBEC Board members took place on September 3rd .
Paul Sommerfeld, Chair of the Board, informed the participants about the changes
in the composition of the Board and the TBEC Oversight Committee. Thus, due to administrative reasons, Liliana Caraulan left the Board; Vitaly Djuma, Sergii Fillipovitch, Aaron Oxley and Sameer Sah have fulfilled their membership in the Coalition’s Oversight Committee.
At the same time, two former TBEC Board members - Sharonann Lynch (Co-Director, Global Health Policy & Politics Initiative (GHPP), O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Georgetown University) and Aida Kurtovic (Harvard LEAD Fellow, Executive Director at SEE Regional TB and HIV Community Network, The Pandemic Fund Governance Board Member representing CSOs Global South, Member of WHO Strategic and Technical Advisory Group) - joined the TBEC Oversight Committee.
At the Board meeting, the TBEC Secretariat provided the financial and governance updates and informed on upcoming funding opportunities for the Coalition. The Secretariat developed measures for addressing the comments and proposals received as from the TBEC member as a result of the survey that were presented as a follow-up to members' feedback on the work of the Coalition.
In addition, TBEC Executive Director Yuliia Kalancha presented to the Board members for approval the internal policies and procedures of the Ukrainian organisation, developed this year.
At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed plans for the participation of Board members in the UNION international conference on lung health, which will be held in November 2024, as well as other issues.
