The pilot data collection for four indicators of the WHO Regional Office for Europe has been completed in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

The pilot data collection for four indicators of the WHO Regional Office for Europe has been completed in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, reflecting a systematic approach to the influence of communities and civil society organizations on programs as per the new WHO Action Plan on Tuberculosis in the European Region for 2023-2030. A similar data collection is currently underway in Ukraine.
The pilot data collection for the years 2021-2022 in these countries was initiated and coordinated by the European Tuberculosis Coalition. In October, its results will be widely presented at a regional event where representatives from the three pilot countries will share their experiences and lessons learned, including challenges faced during the pilot data collection process and ways to overcome them.
In addition to this event, TBEC plans to finalize the development of a Data Collection Guide for civil society organizations and communities affected by tuberculosis. The document explains the data collection process, detailing all stages, and provides practical recommendations and advice for implementing the Algorithm for data collection on the four indicators of the WHO Regional Office for Europe based on the results of the conducted pilot data collection in 2022.
