The kick-off meeting for the project “Scoping Community Interventions to Support New TB Vaccine Introduction From Grassroots Partnerships to Global Policymaking” took place on November 11, in Indonesia. TBEC Program Manager Lesia Tonkonog, along with Board Members Oksana Rucsineanu and Jonathan Stillo were representing TB Europe Coalition.
The project, scheduled to run from October 2024 to December 2025, is being implemented by TAG in partnership with rCABs (Afrocab, APCASO, ECAT) and guided by an advisory council represented by the Global TB CAB.
Key objectives of the project include:
- Conduct a landscape analysis of TB community and civil society working across the global, regional, and national levels that illustrates where the activities of different groups fall along the vaccine policy pipeline and how they interact.
- Develop country policy portraits illustrating how TB and immunization policy is made in selected сountries and the points where community and civil society can intervene.
- Сreate an advocacy roadmap based on an analysis of new TB vaccine access advocacy priorities and activities covering AAAQ: availability, accessibility (affordability), acceptability, quality.
