Our partners in Ukraine continue implementing activities aimed at improving access to information and support for people affected by TB.
Thus, TBPeopleUkraine, in partnership with TBEC, under the ASCENT DR-TB project, with the support of TAG and funding from Unitaid:
- Developed information brochures and stands, as well as relevant content for the OneImpact digital platform, based on needs identified through a survey of people affected by TB and healthcare workers;
- Held two of four specialised webinars for healthcare and social workers;
- Organised 14 group psychological support sessions for 85 people undergoing TB treatment; another session is planned for August;
- Provided individual humanitarian assistance to people with TB from vulnerable groups.
Importantly, the entire set of activities is based on the findings and recommendations of an assessment conducted last year of people with TB’s awareness of their disease and treatment, as well as available support services.
We thank our national and international partners for their continued support of interventions aimed at ensuring that people with TB in Ukraine have access to the information they need and comprehensive support.
