Results of community-led monitoring of the implementation of standardized support services and short TB-treatment regimens in EECA countries were discussed by participants of a regional online meeting on 28 November 2024.
The event, organized by the TB Europe Coalition, was attended by about 60 representatives of civil society organizations and communities, as well as other national and international partners.
During the meeting:
• Bakyt Myrzaliev (International consultant) presented an overview of the results of community-led monitoring on procurement of short TB treatment regimens in four countries of the EECA region - Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine;
• Mikhail Volik (International Consultant) presented an overview of the results of community-led monitoring on the implementation of a standardized package of supportservices at the community level in six countries of the EECA region - Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
• Aleksandra Vasylenko (TBEC Communications Manager) presented the Online Course on the Standardized Package of the community-based support services, hosted on the OpenWHO platform (https://openwho.org), developed by TBEC with the support of the Stop TB Partnership, the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the PAS Centre.
