During a webinar held ahead of the 8th Global Fund Grant Cycle on ensuring meaningful engagement of TB-affected communities in country dialogue processes for funding application development, representatives of the Global Fund presented key dates for the first three application waves and announced the schedule of information sessions, including dates and registration links.
In addition, at an event organized on 18 December 2025 by the EECA Regional Platform in cooperation with the TB Europe Coalition, with the support of the Global Fund Secretariat team on Communities, Rights and Gender, the updated Operational Guidance to be used in the preparation of country applications was presented.
Within the framework of the webinar, Vlada Rabinova, Program Manager of the TB Europe Coalition, highlighted the regional situation regarding community engagement, the challenges faced in previous cycles, and provided recommendations on how to avoid these challenges in GC8.
Representatives of Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan shared their experiences in preparing their applications, outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the process. They also presented proposals to strengthen community engagement in the next grant cycle. During the Q&A session, representatives of Tajikistan reported that they had already started the application preparation process and had held their first working meeting.
Overall, the webinar demonstrated that communities and civil society organizations are committed to actively participating in all stages of the application preparation process.
