Practical Tools for the Sustainability of CSOs and Communities Amidst Funding Reductions

To enhance the resilience of CSOs and communities in the face of global funding cuts, TBEC shares its practical tools:

  •         Institutional Development Policy Package

In recent years, donor requirements for organizations have become significantly stricter. We are increasingly seeing that donors prefer organizations that have already established themselves as sustainable entities with internal procedures and policies. Various document and policy requirements are imposed: for some donors, they are mandatory, while for others, they are desirable. Regardless, having a comprehensive set of policies provides organizations with undeniable advantages, including:

 ·       Compliance with international standards, making the organization more attractive to major donors.

 ·       Strengthened internal governance, reducing risks and increasing operational efficiency.

 ·       Increased trust from partners, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

 ·      Eligibility to participate in large international funding opportunities and consortia where comprehensive policies are an important selection criterion.

Considering these factors, TBEC offers organizations the opportunity to develop an extended set of policies and procedures based on prepared templates. These policies are essential not only for working with UN Agencies but also for engaging with more demanding donors.

To access 25 policy and procedure templates, please send your request to coordinator@tbcoalition.eu.

  •        Donor Mapping

For several years, TBEC has been actively working on donor mapping. In light of the growing financial crisis in our sector, we are sharing this tool with all interested CSOs and communities. The updated resource contains information on more than 40 global, regional, and national donors, as well as UN Agencies, Governments, Embassies, and private sector representatives that fund TB-related projects.

For each documented donor, the information is structured as follows:

·       Type of donor

·       Name of donor
·       Region of operation
·       Who can apply (NGOs, government agencies, international organizations, etc.)
·       Funding priorities
·       Website

When using this tool, it is recommended to regularly monitor updates on donors relevant to your organization to avoid missing important opportunities. You can access and save the “Donor mapping” tool for future reference by following this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ambuL44_Z6pNlG8WVHcyfpJNPhakxRqG/edit

TBEC is pleased to share its expertise and resources to strengthen the capacity and fundraising activities of CSOs and communities!
