On 18 June 2025, an online meeting of Regional Collaborating Committee on Accelerated Response to Tuberculosis, HIV and Viral Hepatitis (RCC-THV), hosted by WHO Regional Office for Europe, took place.
The committee members — including the Executive Director and Board members of TBEC — were updated on:
- the latest developments in the TB/DR-TB programme, including newly released global guidelines and recommendations;
- the new European Programme of Work (EPW) for 2026–2030 and the HIV/STI, Viral Hepatitis programme, including newly released global guidelines and recommendations;
- the launch of the TB Free Central Asia Initiative;
- the impact of funding cuts on the response to the three diseases.
Partners discussed the updates and shared information on the main regional activities, highlighting the impact of restrictive legislation and funding cuts on their work and the implementation of programmes and projects.
