Based on the Community-Led Monitoring (СLM) conducted last year on the progress of the standardized package of support services in six EECA countries implementation, the TB Europe Coalition, together with a wide range of authors, initiated a publication in the scientific journal Public Health Action – https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12421823/.
The article provides a detailed description of the assessment carried out in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Ukraine, using both quantitative and qualitative data. In particular, it presents the findings from desk review and interviews conducted in the countries.
Based on the study results and identified gaps, recommendations were developed, which were shared with the National TB Programsof the respective countries as well as other stakeholders. This manuscript has become another valuable resource that can serve as a foundation for future dialogue with governments, partners, and stakeholders on how community-based approaches meaningfully contribute to improved TB outcomes.
It is also important to note that the publication of the article in a scientific journal gave a wide audience from around the world the opportunity to learn about the methodology and results of the study described.
