The online course on the Standardized Package of Community-Based Support Services to Improve TB Outcomes is available on the WHO OpenWHO platform.
This
course provides basic training for civil society organizations and
representatives of TB-affected communities equipping them to provide
support services included in the Standardized Package, while maintaining the necessary level of quality.
It
is worth noting that this document was developed in 2021 by the TB
Europe Coalition in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for
Europe and the PAS Center. Its goal is to complement TB health
services,, ensure more comprehensive and continuous care, and thereby
improve TB prevention and treatment outcomes for all people, including
vulnerable groups.
For
convenience, the structure of the online course is divided into
separate modules according to the 12 support services, as well as a
methodology for calculating service costs. After a simple registration
on the OpenWHO platform, one will gain access to all 13 modules of the
online course, available via the following links:
Each
module has been developed by an expert from civil society and the
community affected by TB, WHO, NTP, doctors, and international experts.
All experts have extensive experience in the field of TB.
In each module you will find:
• An introduction from the expert who developed it.
• A lecture in the form of a presentation.
• Short animated videos.
• Thought-provoking exercises.
• Additional materials for deeper learning.
Upon
completion of each module and passing the test to assess the level of
knowledge with at least 80% correct answers, you will receive a

It
is expected that in the coming years, to ensure standardization of the
quality and service delivery mechanisms, completing the course will
become mandatory for staff of civil society organizations involved in
providing services under social contracting.
To
date, the course is only available in English. With the support of the
WHO Regional Office for Europe, the course is being translated into
Russian.

online course was developed by the TB Europe Coalition with financial
