TBEC, among almost 30 signatories from EU
governments, UN organizations, parliamentary associations, international,
regional and national partners in the fight against HIV and TB, supported the
Consensus Statement on the actions needed by the EU to stop the spread of HIV and related with it TB as a threat to public health by 2030TB as a threat to public health by 2030.
The document outlines EU actions, including on TB, aimed at strengthening the efforts of member states to achieve the UNAIDS 2030 goals.
This advocacy tool will be used collectively to promote common goals within the new European Commission and among Members of the European Parliament, in particular to raise awareness among EU policymakers and Member States of the need to include socially significant disease priorities on the agenda of the new European Commission.
