An assessment was conducted in Ukraine "Study of aspects of gender, equality and inclusion in the workplace among medical workers involved in the fight against TB"

To evaluate the implementation of gender equality principles among medical staff in Ukrainian healthcare institutions providing TB diagnosis and treatment services, and to identify barriers preventing men and women from achieving gender equality, the TB Europe Coalition conducted an assessment titled "Study of aspects of gender, equality, and inclusion in the workplace among medical workers involved in the fight against tb," with financial support from the Stop TB Partnership.

The assessment used mixed methods, including desk analysis, individual in-depth interviews, and focus groups. Approximately 100 respondents participated, comprising national-level representatives in the field of TB, such as TB program managers, trade union representatives, managers overseeing health worker education and professional development, and representatives of medical institutions from four regions of Ukraine.

After agreement with country partners, the results and recommendations are expected to inform updates to national training programs for health workers.
